The Florida-Alabama Gulf Coast

Four counties, from the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay to Destin and Crestview. Each has its own geography, its own rules and its own pace.

How the coast fits together

Read from west to east, the service area follows the shoreline across the state line. Inland communities such as Loxley, Pace, Milton and Crestview sit north of the coast.

  1. Baldwin County, AL

The Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay, central Baldwin, and the Gulf beaches at Gulf Shores and Orange Beach.

  2. Escambia County, FL

Perdido Key at the state line, Pensacola on its bay, and rural land to the north.

  3. Santa Rosa County, FL

Gulf Breeze on its peninsula, Navarre and Navarre Beach, and Milton and Pace inland.

  4. Okaloosa County, FL

Fort Walton Beach and Destin on the coast, Niceville and Valparaiso on the bay, Crestview to the north.

Because I’m licensed in both Florida and Alabama, comparing a home in Perdido Key with one in Orange Beach, or Pensacola with Fairhope, stays one conversation with one agent.

Escambia County, Florida

Pensacola

The region’s urban, cultural and air-service center, with a historic downtown on Pensacola Bay, arts institutions, naval aviation and Gulf beaches within reach. It’s the deepest local guide on this site.

Fairhope

A walkable downtown on a bluff above Mobile Bay, a municipal pier at the end of Fairhope Avenue, and a long-standing arts identity. Bayfront, not Gulf-front, and distinct from anywhere else on this coast.
